FAQ

ORDER CHANGES:
Orders begin production immediately upon order and are built to your custom specifications. Changes to your order are subject to the following conditions:

If the requested change can be achieved at the current stage of production on your neck or body, a $25.00 charge will apply.

If the requested change requires us to restart production with a new neck or body, a 25% restocking charge will apply to the purchase price of the item.

BUILD TIME:
Lead time is now approximately 4-6 weeks.

HUMIDITY:
Humidity and how it affects your guitar: Here is an excellent article written by the folks at Fender.  Please read and understand before you purchase a neck. Take me to the article.

WARRANTY:
Our basic warranty is 90 days for defects in material or workmanship for bodies and hard-finished necks. All items shipped to you from Musikraft should be inspected upon receipt. We will gladly accept the return of products that are defective due to an issue in manufacturing and/or workmanship for 90 days from the date of receipt. If we ship an incorrect product to you by accident, we will accept a return within 30 days from the date of receipt. Necks purchased without a finish applied (Raw Wood) are covered for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt. If we ship a neck (Raw), any issues resulting from atmospheric conditions, i.e. warp or twist, are not covered, regardless of the perfect climate conditions you claimed the neck was kept in. Any returns must be pre-approved and a Return Authorization Number must be issued. This number must appear on the outside of the box that you are returning your item in. All returned items must be in ORIGINAL, UNALTERED condition. There may not be any modifications such as finishing, fret leveling, staining, routing, adjustments, etc.

FRET LEVELING:

While most Musikraft necks are playable upon receipt, changes in temperature, humidity, and string tension can impact the wood’s stability. These factors may lead to slight shifts in the fret height, potentially affecting playability.

To ensure the most accurate fret leveling, it’s advisable to allow the neck to adjust to its assembled state after being strung up to pitch for several days. This period gives the wood ample time to settle, reducing the chances of future adjustments.

DEALER DISCOUNTS:
At the top of the checkout page, you will see a blue section where you can enter your Dealer code and click apply.

We stamp all of our Fender Licensed necks at the heel. We will not ship these necks without the branding. Requests for us to omit the branding will be ignored.

CUSTOMER SUPPLIED WOOD POLICY:
Musikraft may, on a limited basis and at our sole discretion, accept customer-supplied wood or materials for certain custom projects. Use of customer-supplied materials is offered as an accommodation only and is subject to the following terms, which must be fully accepted by the customer before any work begins.
Approval and Ordering Process

The customer must first obtain explicit verbal approval from a Musikraft representative.
Once approval is granted, the customer may place the order through our website.
The customer is responsible for shipping the material to Musikraft, clearly marked with the order number.

Material Evaluation
Upon receipt, all customer-supplied wood or materials will be thoroughly inspected and tested for:

Species suitability
Quality and structural integrity
Proper dimensions
Appropriate moisture content

If the material is deemed unsuitable for any reason, it will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense (both outbound and return shipping costs will be billed to the customer). No work will commence in such cases.
Warranty Disclaimer
Any neck, body, fingerboard, or other component produced using customer-supplied wood or materials—even if Musikraft supplies additional materials—carries no warranty of any kind.
Musikraft assumes no liability for defects or issues including, but not limited to:

Warping, cracking, checking, or other stability problems
Discoloration, grain irregularities, knots, or natural wood characteristics
Machining errors, specification mistakes, or any other production issues, regardless of cause (including errors by Musikraft personnel or equipment)

In the event of any problem with the finished part, the customer is solely responsible for providing replacement material and covering the full cost of producing a new component.
By utilizing this service, the customer acknowledges and accepts full risk associated with introducing non-standard materials into our manufacturing process.

Service Fee
A non-refundable fee of $100 per item (e.g., fingerboard, neck blank, body blank, etc.) will be charged for processing customer-supplied materials. This fee must be added via the “Additional Services” menu at the time of ordering.

Customer Acceptance Requirement
Work will not begin until the customer replies to the confirmation email explicitly agreeing to all terms outlined in this policy.
We appreciate your understanding that these strict conditions are necessary to maintain the consistency and quality standards for which Musikraft is known. Thank you for your cooperation.
